At age 16, Joyce Tully played senior with Brandon Curlys, a team that lost the provincial championship to CUAC Blues. The next year she was in a Blues uniform and played with CUAC until 1973. During that period Blues won 17 provincial championships in a row and the 1957 Western Canadian title. Joyce and her team-mates also won the first Canadian senior women’s title in 1965 and were inducted into the HOF as a team in 2002. A versatile player, she played first and second base and pitched and was a power hitter who usually hit clean-up.
